| abstract | On an elongate, wand-shaped, cylindrical brush body made of plastic, on whose end portions tufts of bristles extending obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the brush body are arranged, truncated cone-shaped portions are provided at the ends of said brush body and have conical outer surfaces which taper towards the ends of said brush body, within which outer surfaces are arranged the receiving bores for the tufts of bristles which are most steeply inclined towards the perpendicular plane. The inclination of these outer surfaces is selected in the best possible approximation such that the axes of the tufts of bristles run at right angles to the outer surface. As a result, great care is achieved in respect of the drilling tools when the oblique bores are made. The conical portions of the brush body are constructed in a special design thereof such that all the tufts of bristles, whose free ends lie on a circular-cylindrical covering surface, have the same free length I. |
