abstract |
The invention relates to a process for the immobilisation of Protaminobacter rubrum by entrapment in polymerised compounds, to the product obtainable by this process, and to the use thereof for the preparation of isomaltulose from sucrose. The process comprises mixing aqueous solutions or dispersions of the biological material with an aqueous solution of high molecular weight polymerisable compounds which are readily soluble in water and have two or more polymerisable functional groups per molecule and a molecular weight above 400, and subsequently polymerising. |
