The invention relates to a process for an additionary reaction of a 1-olefin and a 1,3-diene at -25 to +50@C in the presence of a ternary catalyst system composed essentially of (1) at least one salt of Fe, Ni, Pd or Cr, (2) a Grignard reagent, a lithium alkyl or magnesiumalkyl, and (3) a 1,4-diaza-1,3-diene of the formula <IMAGE> in which the radicals R<7> to R<10> have the following meanings: R<7> and R<10> can be C1-C8-alkyl or C6-C10-aryl, R<8> and R<9> can be H or C1-C8-alkyl or together with the atoms linking them form a carbocycle, or R<9> and R<10> together with the atoms linking them can form a heterocycle which contains nitrogen. The reaction product is a diunsaturated, optionally substituted hexane. |
