A sweet, whose external appearance may be that of a football golf ball etc, to provide visual attraction, has a core of fruit-gum or chewing gum. The core is uniformly surrounded by a sugar coating contg soluble minerals of physiological value, esp one or more of sodium citrate, sodium chloride, calcium citrate, calcium chloride, sodium phosphate or magnesium carbonate. Vitamins may also be included in the coating, whose binder includes glucose or other sugar or sugar syrup.
