The prodn. of a colour photograph comprises developing exposed colour photographic material contg. Ag halide (AgX) emulsion coat(s) in the presence of a colour coupler and a colour developer, which is a substd. N-(3-alkyl- or -alkoxy-4-aminophenyl)- pyrrolidine, -piperidine or -hexamethylenimine cpd. of formula (I) or its salt. Cpds. of formula (I) are new. R1 is alkyl or alkoxy; R2-R7 are each OH, COOH, SO3H, alkyl(thio), aryl(oxy), acyl(oxy), alkoxy, sulphinyl, sulphonyl, sulphamoyl, acylamino or sulphonamido or some but not all are H; m and n is 0 or 1. The photographic material pref. has blue-, green- and red- sensitive AgX emulsion(s) contg. yellow, magenta and cyan couplers respectively, in the given sequence, opt. with spacer coats, on a light-reflecting or transparent base. AgX consists of at least 98 mole-% AgCl and the colour developer time is less than 35 secs.. ADVANTAGE - Development is rapid and stable, esp. light-fast photographs are obtd.. |
