abstract The invention relates to a method and a device for supplying one or more consumers or a supply network with odorized gas, the gas being available unodorized from a gas reservoir or gas reservoirs or another gas source. In order to be able to carry out cost-effective odorizing, an odorizing method is proposed in such a way that a discontinuous subsequent gas delivery from the gas reservoir or gas reservoirs to the buffer volume on the consumer side is effected, which is arranged in such a way that a subsequent gas delivery is started from a fixed lower limit pressure in the buffer volume, this subsequent gas delivery is carried out with approximately uniform flow quantity until an upper limit-pressure value is reached, and then the subsequent gas delivery is ended, metered addition of odorizer in the desired measure to the subsequently delivered gas being effected during the subsequent gas delivery.
