abstract In a process to store cryogenic fuels in heat-insulated aircraft tanks, the gravitational forces on the fuel varies in different phases of flight. The novelty is that during flight, fuel is pumped from the lower (1) tank zones and raised under pressure to the gaseous unfilled (5) part of the tank and directed (13) at the liquid fuel surface in the tank at such a pressure as to generate fluid mixing.
