titleOfInvention METHOD OF CONTINUOUS PRODUCTION OF AMMONIUM TIOSULPHATE
abstract A method for continuously producing ammonium thiosulfate from hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide and ammonia by absorption, which is characterized in that in the first absorption step a solution of ammonium hydrosulfite is prepared by contacting the first gas stream containing sulfur dioxide with ammonia and an aqueous solution containing ammonium hydrosulfite in one or more absorbers connected in series, followed by removal of gas from one of the absorbers, and the solution obtained in the first stage of absorption is sent to the second stage of absorption, in which the second gas stream containing hydrogen sulfide is brought into contact with ammonia and an aqueous solution of ammonium thiosulfate to obtain a solution enriched in ammonium thiosulfate.
