HIGHLY ACTIVE CATALYTIC COMPOSITION SUSPENSION |
abstract |
The present invention is directed to the preparation of a catalyst composition in the form of a slurry. The catalyst composition in the form of a slurry is obtained as a result of a sequence of steps including mixing a Group VIB metal oxide and an aqueous ammonia solution to form an aqueous mixture and sulfiding the mixture to form a slurry. Then the colloidal suspension is activated with a group VIII metal compound. Subsequent steps include mixing the slurry with a hydrocarbon oil and combining the resulting mixture with hydrogen gas (under conditions that retain water in the liquid phase) to form an active catalyst composition. |
