A medicament for the prevention and / or therapeutic treatment of a neurodegenerative disease, such as Alzheimer's disease or the like, which contains as an active ingredient a substance selected from the group consisting of a compound represented by general formula (I) and a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, and its hydrate, and its solvatagde A represents a hydrogen atom or an acetyl group, E represents a 2,5-disubstituted or 3,5-disubstituted phenyl group or a monocyclic or condensed a polycyclic heteroaryl group which may be substituted, provided that a compound is excluded in which said heteroaryl group is (1) a fused polycyclic heteroaryl group in which a ring which is directly attached to the —CONH— group in formula (I) is with a benzene ring, (2) an unsubstituted thiazol-2-yl group or (3) an unsubstituted benzothiazol-2-yl group, the Z ring is an arena which may have one or more substituents in addition to the group represented by the th formula -O-A, where A has the same meaning as above, and the group represented by the formula-CONH-E, where E has the same meaning as above, or heteroarene, which may have one or more substituents in addition to the group represented by the formula —O — A, where A has the same meaning as described above, and the group represented by the formula —CONH-E, where E has the same meaning as described above. |
