| abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for liquefying a natural gas stream, in which a feed stream containing natural gas is fed to an expander at a pressure of 30-80 bar to expand it to produce a feed stream with a pressure of <35 bar; the resulting stream is fed to a gas / liquid separator for separation into a vapor stream and a liquid stream, where the vapor stream is enriched in methane and the liquid stream is depleted in methane. The pressure of the vapor stream is increased to a pressure of at least 70 bar and the compressed vapor stream is liquefied to produce a liquefied natural gas stream. |
