The invention relates to the design of a nucleic acid that encodes a polypeptide that induces an immune response to human β-amyloid peptide. A method for inducing an immune response in animals and humans, as well as a method for treating Alzheimer's disease, comprising the administration of an effective amount of the claimed construct. In addition, a method of inducing a cellular and humoral immune response in animals and humans is proposed, including carrying out primary immunization with the construct of the present invention and enhancing its action by introducing a polypeptide encoded by the indicated construct. |
