abstract |
Artificial vitreous fiber (WIS) substrate for growing plants is provided. The substrate has properties that include a volume of from 3 to 20 liters, two layers of different density and the use of a hydrophilic binding system. It has been found that the substrate provides excellent control of the water and / or nutrient content inside the substrate when it is used for growing plants. |
