Method and equipment for the production of fermentable saccharides, ethanol, furfural, furan, lignin, acetic acid and formic acid from lignocellulosic and starch-containing raw materials. The method includes one-stage and two-stage continuous thermohydrolysis under pressure of lignocellulose particles, cellulase treatment of unreacted lignocellulose, amylase treatment of the formed monosaccharides in combination with added starch-containing raw materials and fermentation of a solution of monosaccharides that have undergone combined processing into ethanolic treatment. By-products such as furfural, methanol, acetic acid, formic acid and lignin are recovered and purified, furfural is selectively further converted to furan. The patent discloses an integrated process for recovering and reusing all products and by-products and for recovering thermal energy. |
