abstract This invention is a method for producing a composition comprising at least a monovinyl aromatic polymer and at least a dispersed phase of one or more polymers derived from renewable resources, in which: a) a polymerizable mixture is formed containing at least a monomer or a dimer (a1) selected from hydroxycarboxylic acid, a precursor of said hydroxycarboxylic acid, a cyclic component polymerized by ring-opening polymerization (CRP), and a mixture of epoxide and carbon dioxide Lerod dispersed in at least (a2) one monovinyl aromatic monomer, optionally rubber dissolved in (a2) monovinyl aromatic monomer, b) contacting the appropriate catalyst with the polymerizing solution under conditions effective to produce polymer A1 containing repeating units ( a1) distributed in (a2) monovinylacetate monomer, c) the solution obtained in step b) is polymerized by a radical route, optionally in the presence of a free radical initiator, optionally in the presence of chain transfer agents, to obtain a monovinylaromatic polymer A2 containing the dispersed phase of polymer A1, d) degas the product of step c) to separate optional unpolymerized monomers and comonomers and isolate a composition containing at least (A2) monovinylaromatic polymer and, at least, (A1), where the weight ratio A1 / (A2 + A1) is up to 50%.
