| abstract | The invention relates to a paper machine comprising a unit for initial cleaning, a unit for second cleaning and a web to be cleaned, moving in the machine direction through the papermaking machine. The initial cleaning unit and the second cleaning unit are adapted to supply a cleaning medium containing either steam, or water, or both, onto the web to be cleaned. The node for the second cleaning is located downstream in the machine direction from the node for the initial cleaning. The unit for the initial cleaning and the unit for the second cleaning ensures the supply of the cleaning medium across the entire width of the web to be cleaned. The second cleaning unit is a sealed cleaning device containing a device for removing excess cleaning medium from the web. |
