abstract The present invention relates to herbicidal compositions, characterized in that they contain at least one substituted acetanilide of the formula I <IMAGE> in which R is hydrogen, an unbranched or branched alkyl or alkoxy radical having up to 5 carbon atoms, R 1 is hydrogen, halogen is an unbranched or branched Alkyl or alkoxy radical with up to 5 carbon atoms, R² is hydrogen, halogen, unbranched or branched alkyl or alkoxy radical with up to 5 carbon atoms, R together with R² is an ortho-linked alkylene chain, optionally substituted by unbranched or branched alkyl groups with up to 4 carbon atoms, with bis to 6 carbon atoms, X chlorine or bromine and A an azole bonded via a ring nitrogen atom, which is mono- or polysubstituted by halogen, phenyl, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio or perfluoroalkyl radicals each having up to 4 carbon atoms, cyan, carboxy, carbalkoxy with up to to 4 carbon atoms in the alkoxy group or alkanoyl radicals can be substituted with up to 4 carbon atoms, where A can also represent salts of the azoles containing 2 or 3 nitrogen atoms, as a herbicidal active ingredient and N-dichloroacetyl-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-oxozolidine as an antagonistic agent. The proportion of acetanilide: N-dichloroacetyl-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-oxazolidine is 1: 2 to 1: 0.01 parts by weight when applied together or separately.
