The invention relates to a process for the preparation of 1-amino-8-naphthol-4,6-disulfonic acid (K acid) as a monoalkali salt from naphthylamine-trisulfonic acid isomer mixtures by alkaline pressure hydrolysis of naphthylamine trisulfonic acid mixtures and subsequent isolation of the K acid and the H- Acid through acidification and crystallization. |
