The present invention relates to thermotropic conformable copolyesters of high molecular weight.n n n These copolyesters consist of units of formula: (-OX 1 -O-) a, (-OX 2 -O-) b, (-OX 3 -O-) c; -CO-Y-CO; -CO-Z-CO; in which X 1 represents a monosubstituted paraphenylene radical; X 2 an unsubstituted 1,4-phenylene radical; X 3 a disubstituted paraphenylene radical, a 4,4 'diphenylene radical or a p-p'-diphenylene ether radical; with 0.4≤a≤1, 0≤b≤0.6, C≤c≤0.1 and a + b + c = 1; Y represents a 1,4-cyclohexylene radical, a radical having two phenylene groups linked together by a single bond or an acyclic chain, or a divalent aromatic radical having at least two fused phenyl rings; Z represents a radical - (CH 2 ) n- with 3 ≤n≤10; the Z / Y + Z molar ratio being between 20 and 50%.n n n These polyesters make it possible to obtain molded objects, wires and films. |
