The invention relates to a process for adding a compound having an activated carbon atom on 1,3-butadiene bearing a hydrocarbon substituent on carbon atom 2, a process of the type in which the compound having a activated carbon atom and 1,3-butadiene carrying a hydrocarbon substituent in water or in a hydroalcoholic mixture in the presence of a catalyst consisting on the one hand, by at least one compound of a transition metal, the catalyst being in solution in water or in a hydroalcoholic mixture, process characterized in that, with the aim of obtaining a completely selective addition of the active methylene compound on carbon 4, 1,3-butadiene bearing a hydrocarbon substituent on carbon 2, the transition metal used is rhodium.n n n The products obtained by the process are useful as precursors of intermediates for the synthesis of vitamins and perfumes. |
