abstract |
Certain classes of aromatic sulfoxonium salts, such as dimethylphenacylsulfoxonium and acetanilinodimethylsulfoxonium hexafluorophosphate, have little or no effect when heated with epoxides containing O-glycidyl groups. It has now been found that with the further addition of a quinone, a peroxide or an aromatic iodoso compound, the sulfoxonium salts rapidly initiate polymerization of such epoxides and curing of such polyepoxides. |
