The present invention relates to a process for cooling blanks of heavy sheet metal while moving, during rolling, characterized in that it consists in cooling only the central part of the surface of the blank, excluding peripheral parts.n n n This process is implemented using a machine comprising means (13) for supporting and guiding the blank and concealable cooling means (14, 15) controlled as a function of the passage of the blank. so as to cool the blank only on a central part of its surface, excluding the peripheral parts. |
