Compounds of the formulan wherein R 1 is selected from various aliphatic and aromatic groups;n R 2 is H, F, Cl, Br, CH 3 , OCH 3 or CF 3 ; R 3 is H or CH 3 X is CH 3 , OCH 3 , Cl, OCF 2 H or SCF 2 H; Y is amino or various organic groups; Z is CH or N; nand their agriculturally suitable salts; exhibit herbicidal activity. They may be formulated for use in conventional manner.n The novel compounds may be made by a variety of methods, e.g. by reacting an appropriately substituted phenylsulfonyl isocyanate with an appropriate 2-amino or 2-methylamino-pyrimidine or 1,3,5-triazine. |
