Pyrimidone derivatives of the formula where n is the number 1 or 0, X, A 'and A 2 optionally mono- or di-lower alkylated methylene, or X optionally lower alkylated nitrogen, R is hydrogen or lower alkyl, and Y together with Z is a group = NR 5 , or R together with Z is an NC bond, and Y is a group -N / H) R 5 , R 1 , R 2 and R 'are hydrogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy, or two adjacent R ', R 2 or R' methylenedioxy or ethylenedioxy, R 4 is hydrogen or lower alkyl, R 5 phenyl optionally substituted by R 6 , R 7 and R 8 , R 6 , R 7 and R 8 are chlorine, fluorine, bromine, lower alkyl or alkoxy, where if R 4 is hydrogen and n = 0, at least one of the methylene groups A 'and A 2 should be mono- or dineideralkylated, and physiologically acceptable salts thereof inhibit platelet aggregation and are circulatory. n n n They are made from chlorinated or brominated pyrimidone derivatives.
