According to the invention, aqueous press cakes with a high content of this solid are obtained from an aqueous suspension of a solid by adding a surfactant or several surfactants which have a cloud point in aqueous solution after the solid has been isolated at a temperature above the cloud point.n n n The direct processing of solid press cakes, such as those obtained after the synthesis and isolation of dyes or pigments, into aqueous doughs or dispersions which are practical for the user requires a minimum solids content in the press cake. In many cases, the minimum content is not reached when using conventional insulation processes, so that a detour via drying to powder and redispersion of the powder is necessary. The costly detour can be saved when using the method according to the invention or, if necessary, drying to powder can be made considerably cheaper. |
