| abstract |
A process for preparing a polymer polyahl comprising polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer or mixtures thereof in a polyahl or mixture of polyahls, the dispersion of the particles of the polymer being prepared in a continuous phase of polyahls. The method is characterized in that said polymerization takes place in the presence of an inorganic compound with release of halogens, interhalogens or iodine. The use of the inorganic compound with release of halogens, interhalogens or iodine gives a polyahl of polymer of lower viscosity. |
