@ The invention relates generally to motorized devices, for disabled people with disabilities or the like, allowing in particular the ascent and descent of staircases, the crossing of curbs, etc. According to the invention, an axle carries at each of its two ends a plate (14) supporting three wheels (13). The plates (14) can be driven in rotation by first drive means, while the wheels (13) of each plate (14) can be driven completely independently by second drive means, thereby greatly facilitating the mounting and down stairs. Also described are slaved stabilization means (18) which control the first and second motor means to facilitate maintaining the device in balance independently.n n n Application to motorized disabled wheelchairs intended to go up and down stairs with great security. |
