abstract |
A method for determining the perfusion by evaluating the light emitted by at least one light source (13) and influenced by the arterial blood is proposed, using an optical measuring device (9) which measures the change in intensity of the light which occurs as a result of an arterial blood volume change. The perfusion is given either as a change in thickness from the sum of the parallel vessel widenings Δd or as a normalized change in volume, it being possible to indicate the perfusion by means of one or more light intensity measurements. According to the invention, a method for determining perfusion as a quantitative quantity is specified for the first time. |
