abstract | The present invention relates to a process for preparing nfluorinated conjugated olefinic products having, among nothers, the formulae: n nwherein: nR x and R y represent, among others, perhaloalkyl nradicals containing from 1 to 10 carbon natoms (in the case of R x ) and from 1 to 9 ncarbon atoms (in the case of R y ), and nm ranges from 2 to 10. n These olefinic products are obtained by reacting telomeric nproducts having, among others, the formulae: nR x O-(CFCl-CFCl) m -F nR x O-(CFCl-CFCl) m -OR x nF-(CFCl-CFCl) m -F and nR y -(CFCl-CFCl) m -F nwith zinc powder at temperatures of from about 40°C to nabout 160°C and in a solvent selected from alcohols, ndimethylformamide and dimethylsulfoxide. n Many of the resulting products are new. |
