titleOfInvention METHOD FOR PRODUCING L-ALPHA-GLYCERYLPHOSPHORYLCHOLINE AND L-ALPHA-GLYCERYLPHOSPHORYLETHANOLAMINE.
abstract Process for the purification of glycerylphosphorylcholine (GPC) and glycerylphosphorylethanolamine (GPE) from deacylated crude mixtures obtained by deacetylating crude or deoiled lecithin from soya or egg or alcoholic extracts of this lecithin. This process comprises the following operations: (a) elution of a cationic resin in acid form, equilibrated in an anhydrous solvent, from the crude solutions originating from the deacylation operation; (b) washing the resin with alcohols or water/alcohols; (c) obtaining the pure nGPC+mGPE mixture by washing the resin with water; (d) separation of the nGPC+mGPE mixture by elution on basic resins to obtain pure GPCs and GPEs.
