abstract Builder agent for powdered detergent composition, consisting of an alkali metal silicate rich in silicon atoms in the Q2 and Q3 form. A solution of alkali metal silicate with an SiO2/M2O ratio of 1.6 to 3.5 which, as such, has a solids content of 10 - 60 % or which is in supported form, especially in the form of cogranulates, the weight ratio of silicate expressed on dry basis/water associated with the silicate ranging from 100/120 to 100/40, is an example of a silicate rich in silicon atoms in the Q2 and Q3 form. Use in powdered detergent compositions, especially for a washing machine and for a dishwasher.
