abstract |
A rotor (10) with radial flow inlet for a gas turbine engine has a double structure to improve the short life due to fatigue of the cycles in the saddle region (18). The inner core or hub of the rotor is made of a polycrystalline alloy of high resistance, and a series of segments of external blades (14) are individually cast as single crystals and linked so that their crystallographic axis of low modulus (100) is aligned substantially tangential to the circumference of the rotor at the saddle. |
