A web is produced in a spreader-lapper (2) by successively folding a veil of fibers from a card (1), then the web is stretched in a stretcher (4).n n n A stretcher (4) is used provided with rotary means having at their periphery a lining comprising points which are made to penetrate the heart of the sheet. The degree of stretching is adjusted so that the fibers in the drawn product are mainly distributed in two substantially symmetrical orientations with respect to the longitudinal direction of the drawn product and forming with it an angle between 30 ° and 60 °.n n n Use in particular to improve the mechanical strength of coated products. |
