A filamentous bacteriophage includes, in at least a proportion of its major coat protein, a foreign peptide of at least 6 amino-acids that is capable of eliciting a biological response. For example, by incorporating an immunogenic peptide, an effective vaccine for malaria, foot-and-mouth disease and other infections can be obtained. |
