The invention relates to luminous elements made of transparent, weather-stable plastic plates, preferably made of cast polymethyl methacrylate, containing white pigment, fluorescent dye and optionally a further dye, which have an internal light source and a surface-to-volume ratio O: V of less than 6 : X, where X means the minimum cross section in the plane in which the illuminant is located. The luminous elements can be used, for example, for illuminated advertising, information boards, traffic signs and signal signs. |
