titleOfInvention Method and device for the repair of a defective zone of a metallic piece and particularly of a tubular piece
abstract A fusion is carried out followed by a solidification of the metal of the wall of the part (13a) in an area comprising defects such as cracks, over a determined depth, by scanning the surface of the part using a fusion device (21). Then a compression is applied to a surface layer of the metal of the wall of the part (13a) which has been melted and then solidified by repeated impacts of solid particles. Preferably, the fusion is carried out by a transferred arc plasma (22) and the compression by balls set in motion by a vibrating part. The invention applies in particular to the repair of a tubular adapter (13a) passing through the cover (1) of a nuclear reactor vessel.
