Compounds of formula (I), and salts and prodrugs thereof, wherein R1 represents H, optionally substituted C¿1-6?alkyl or C3-7cycloalkyl; R?2¿ optionally substituted phenyl or R2 represents a group (A) where W is CH¿2? or NR?10, and W1¿ is CH¿2?, or W and W?1¿ each represent O; R3 is C¿1-6?alkyl, halo or NR?13R14; R4¿ is H, C¿1-4?alkyl, optionally substituted phenyl or optionally substituted benzyl; R?5, R6, R7 and R8¿ are H or C¿1-4?alkyl; or any two of R?4, R5, R6, R7 and R8¿ together form a chain (CH¿2?)t, and any other two of R?4, R5, R6, R7 and R8¿ optionally form a chain (CH¿2?)s where s and t are independently 1, 2 or 3; m is 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9; n is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4; and x is 0, 1, 2 or 3; are CCK and/or gastrin antagonists useful in therapy. |
