abstract |
The present invention provides a simplified method for site-directed mutagenesis and a kit to be used therefor. nThe method for site-directed mutagenesis comprises the steps of: n(1) treating a vector containing the target DNA for the site-directed mutagenesis and a DNA for the mutagenesis with a protein capable of catalyzing a strand exchange reaction in vitro to thereby prepare a vector having a mutation introduced thereinto via the strand exchange reaction; and (2) introducing the resulting vector, which has the mutation introduced thereinto, into host cells. A kit for site-directed mutagenesis comprises a protein capable of catalyzing a strand exchange reaction. |
