Washing machine comprises an acoustic detector (11) adapted to generate an information signal in response to the noise generated in the washing vessel of said machine during the operation thereof. To the acoustic detector (11) there are associated, inside the machine, processor means (12) that process and discriminate said information signal so as to both issue output signals that are indicative of at least one of the parameters of the operation cycle of the machine and to drive, with the same output signals, operational elements provided in the machine. The processor means (12) are preferably adapted to process and discriminate the information signal on the basis of wavelet transforms. |
