abstract There is disclosed a high heat resistant aluminumnalloy impeller, which is suitably used as an impeller,nespecially for a centrifugal compressor, and for thenrotor and the blade of a turbo molecular pump or thenscroll of a scroll compressor. Also, a method fornmanufacturing this aluminum alloy impeller is disclosed.nThe impeller is composed of an Al-Fe rapid solidificationnaluminum alloy, which is produced by a spray formingnprocess for spraying a molten metal with inert gas andnrapidly solidifying the metal at a cooling speed ofn10 2 °C/sec. or higher while simultaneously deposing thenmetal. The rapid solidification aluminum alloy isnsubjected to hot extrusion processing within antemperature range of 200°C to 600°C and further subjectednto hot forging.
