There are provided symmetrical dimeric perylenes of the following formula wherein R isnhydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, oxaalkyl, substituted alkyl, aryl, substituted aryl, aralkyl or substitutednaralkyl, and X is the symmetrical bridging moiety, N-N, alkylene, when n is zero, substitutednalkylene, cycloalkylene, arylene, substituted arylene, aralkylene, or substituted aralkylene.n n There are also provided photoconductive imaging members comprised of the perylenes inna charge generator layer. |
