The invention deals with benzilidine derivatives having thengeneral formula In nwherein R 1 , R 2 and R 3 each represent hydrogen or electronnwithdrawing, donating or steric groups, such as alkyl,nalkoxy, dialkylamino, trifluoromethyl, hydroxy or chloro andnR 4 and R 5 each represent hydrogen, or R 4 and R 5 taken togethernform a -(CH 2 )-,-(CH 2 ) 2 - or -(CH 2 ) 3 -group. Methyl, ethylnmethoxy groups or halogen are preferred. n The novel benzilidine cyclohexanon, benzilidinencyclopentanon and benzilidine aceton derivatives show anti-bacterial,nanti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory activitiesnthat enable them to be used for drugs. |
