Stabilized aqueous dispersions of vinyl ester or vinyl ester-ethylene polymers are produced by emulsion polymerization in presence of silane-free hydrophobic protective colloids based on copolymers of 80-95 wt.% (1-12C alkyl) (meth)acrylate and 5-20 wt.% unsaturated mono- or di-carboxylic acid, with a Tg of 60-120 degrees C and a K value of 20-50. |
