abstract | A meter (100) has a dial plate (2), a pointer (9), a light transmitting plate (3) disposed at a rear side of the dial plate (2) and a light source (11). The light transmitting plate (3) has a shaft hole (31) into which a shaft (7) of the pointer (9) is inserted, and a convex portion (32) formed into a substantially conical shape protruding toward a rear side of the light transmitting plate (3) in the vicinity of the shaft hole (31). The light source (11) is disposed at a rear side of the light transmitting plate (3) to face the convex portion (32). Light emitted by the light source (11) enters the light transmitting plate (3) from the convex portion (32) at a relatively large incidence angle, and illuminates the dial plate (2) from back. As a result, even when the light source (11) is a single light-emitting diode, the dial plate (2) is sufficiently illuminated. <IMAGE> |
