abstract The invention is used to determine zeta potential and layer thickness growth. Said cell is comprised of two plane-parallel plates(1), at least two sealing strips (10), a respective feed and discharge line for the measuring fluid (12), a device for modifying the distance (3, 4, 5, 7) between the surfaces of both plane-parallel plates (1) in very small steps, e.g. a micro-screw, two electrodes which are arranged in front of and behind the plane-parallel plates (1) in the direction of flow, and a flowmeter on the outflow side of the area (8) between the plane-parallel plates.
