abstract | A tapered electrode with a rounded tab portion and a grading electrode are disclosed for minimizing the concentration of current flow to localized areas of the electrode. The tapered electrode comprises a base portion and a tab portion with a rounded end. The grading electrode comprises areas of varying width and relative resistance which operate to grade current flow away from the terminal portion of the tapered electrode tab. |
