The invention relates to an effect pigment coated with surface modifying agents in which the starting pigment comprises a layer having at least one reactive surface modifying agent. The surface modifying agent is a compound which is chemically bound to the initial pigment by at least two functional groups which are different from one another and which are separated by a spacer. The invention also relates to a method for producing such an effect pigment. |
