| abstract |
In an engine valve assembly, a valve lifter comprisesna cylindrical main body portion and a head wall portionnby which an opening of the cylindrical main body portionnis enclosed and with which a cam is brought in contact,na valve stem is contacted on an axial center of the valvenlifter and is disposed obliquely with respect to a directionnof gravity, an exit of a lubricating oil supply bore isnopened to an inner space of the head wall portion and isnrevolved due to a revolution of the valve lifter causednby a friction developed on the basis of a revolution ofnthe cam, and a spring retainer supports an end of a valvenspring, the spring retainer being attached onto the valvenstem. |
