titleOfInvention Three-dimensional reconstruction using ultrasound
abstract Apparatus for mapping a surface of a cavity (50) within a body of a subjectnincludes an elongate probe (30), having a longitudinal axis and including a distal portionnadapted for insertion into the cavity. A plurality of acoustic transducers (46a-c) arendistributed along the longitudinal axis over the distal portion of the probe (30), whichntransducers are adapted to be actuated individually to emit acoustic waves while thenprobe is in the cavity (50), and are further adapted to receive the acoustic waves afternreflection of the waves from the surface of the cavity and to generate, responsive tonthe received waves, electrical signals indicative of times of flight of the waves.
