Nucleotide sequences derived from genes coding for trimethylamine n-oxide reductase, uses thereof in particular for detecting bacteria |
abstract |
The invention concerns the use of nucleotide sequences selected among those comprising a sequence coding for a protein of the trimethylamine N-oxide reductase (TMAO reductase) system in bacteria, or a fragment or a sequence derived from said sequence for implementing a method for detecting the presence of all bacteria involved in the process of decaying of aquatic animal flesh, in a host suspected of carrying such bacteria. The invention also concerns nucleotide sequences such as defined above, said detecting methods as well as kits for implementing said methods. |
